Of those, only highly skilled health care jobs – doctors, nurses, and specialists – are paying a livable wage.

Human Resource departments are there to keep you out, not grant you an interview. They are not the hiring decision makers, you future boss is.

Colleges fail to keep up with technology as tuition skyrockets

When I logged into IUN's network, Firefox 5.0 showed up. At home, I'm running Firefox 7.0.

Half of all college students used mobile gear to get on the Internet every day last year, compared with 10 percent of students in 2008, according to Educause, the educational-technology consortium.

How many mobile college level apps are there? Shouldn't there be an app for every undergraduate class (built on Android and iPhone platforms)? And why not have computer engineerng/programming students build those apps?

The College Conspiracy

Despite college tuition inflation being the most consistent form of price inflation over the past decade, 70.1% of high school graduates are currently enrolling into college, a new record. The value of a college degree is declining even faster than tuitions are skyrocketing in price, but students are being brainwashed by the college-industrial complex, which is working in cahoots with the mainstream media and U.S. government to turn students into indentured servants for life.

Most people don't realize what caused the majority of Americans to begin enrolling into college. The initial dramatic increase was caused almost entirely by the Vietnam War. Attending college was a valid exemption to avoid the draft for the Vietnam War. With millions of Americans not wanting to risk their lives by fighting in a war, attending college was an easy way to get out of the draft. The draft was used as a powerful persuasive device to convince Americans to attend college.

If you believe college is such a great thing for our nation, you really need to ask yourself how it is possible our nation is in the dire shape it's in today. We are a nation of unhealthy junk food eating prescription drug addicts who have elected the most incompetent group of representatives to Congress in history. Colleges have brainwashed students with dangerous Keynesian economic principles that have put our nation on the brink of hyperinflation. Ironically, hyperinflation is quite possibly the only way for Americans with hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loans to ever escape their debts!

College Cost Containment Is An Oxymoron

When your son or daughter goes off to university this fall, ask them to do a little research. Have them find out what on-line course management system they will be required to use. It will probably be Blackboard (a monopoly since they bought out Web CT).

Why is this important? Because Blackboard charges colleges anywhere from $10,000 to $100,000+ to license their platform. Blackboard's stock has nearly doubled since November 2008.

But here is the real kick in the pants - a free open source platform is available. It is called Moodle. I have taught at IU, Purdue, and Ivy Tech, and when I ask about this alternative, they all have the same answer - Moodle needs a full time, PHP developer to run it in house. As the Moodle site points out, this is a complete myth.

Anyhow, I hope you enjoy paying 7.9% on PLUS loans.
